Women’s Christian College established a Research and Seminar Committee in 2018. The Research and Seminar Committee was established with the aim to facilitate and encourage research among faculty members of the college. Faculty members are encouraged to apply for the UGC Minor and Major Research Projects as well as apply for Indian Council of Social Science Research fellowships, Indian Council of Historical Research Fellowships. The Research and Seminar Committee strives to develop a soft and hard infrastructure and tries to create a research ambience for the faculty members in the college. Regular meetings are held and research related issues are discussed. The Research and Seminar Committee tries to develop regular linkages with Social Sciences and Humanities related research institutions, both government and private as well as with national and local publishing houses. In recent years, the Research and Seminar Committee is trying to publish an interdisciplinary research journal titled SOPHOS.
