Overall Analysis

The Peer Team after going through the SSR thoroughly and after interaction with various bodies, faculty, students, parents, guardians and alumnae and visits to the physical facilities is satisfied with the quality of the College.

The Peer Team would like to commend the college for some of the positive features of its approach to quality assurance and standards and at the same time would like to point out some of its concerns to the college authority for their consideration. The Peer Team would like to commend the institution for the following aspects:

Faculty

• High level of dedication, commitment to the profession of the family.
• Fairly good numbers of Ph.D. and M.Phil. degree holders.
• A high proportion of permenant teachers.
• A high proportion of full time teachers.
• Facilities to teaching faculty to attend the oriention and refresher courses are provided as per their needs.
• Fairly good University level results.
• Inculcating self discipline and civic responsibilities amongst the students by healthy interaction.
• Faculty devoting extra time and efforts on both the educationally disadvantaged as well as outstanding performers.
• Some teachers have independent research projects and have published books and research papers.
• Faculty interacts as mentor for the students.
• Faculty members have organized and actively participated in seminars and conferences.

Facilities

• The college has limited infrastructural facilities and is making optimum use of it.
• College has initiated Yoga and Marshal Art classes to empower the girl students.
• Competitive spirit is encouraged amongst students by faciliating them in inter-collegiate competition.
• Departmental libraries are provided by all the departments and are utilized by the students.
• Departmental magazines and college magazines are being published.
• Innovative ideas in the form of wall magazines are being displayed in the departments.
• The interaction with the alumni is strong and encouraging.
