Central Library at Women's Christian College

The college has three building – Block A, B and C. The central library is situated in Block C.

Women Christian College Library gives an overall view of the library facilities available in the college library. With a long tradition of combined efforts of all the staff members of the library, we have been striving hard to meet the pressing demands of the users by rendering various services to all irrespective of categories. We seek to do so in a personalized and hospitable atmosphere, in spite of some infrastructural limitations. The college Authority is keen to develop the library services as a part of its general growth.

The library is at present providing service manually. We are progressing steadily towards partial automation (i.e. creating databases) but definitely not without a human touch.

Women Christian College Library was started along with the establishment of the college in 1945 in order to cater to the academics and research needs of the faculty, students and non–teaching staff. The college has a General Library along with its eight seminar libraries. The general library is one of the central facilities used by all types of members and ex-students of the College.
