Annual Foundation Day
Women's Christian College celebrates its annual Foundation Day on 19th July. Cultural programs and a Prize Distribution ceremony form part of the celebrations.
Freshers' Welcome
August/ September
Usually held in August/September wherein the new students are given a warm welcome by their seniors. The cultural events are organized by the Students' Union. Traditionally the Principal also addresses the students on this occasion.
Independence Day - 15th August
Independence Day
The college celebrates Independence Day with great enthusiasm every year on August 15 . Flag hoisting is followed by cultural functions to commemorate the birth of an independent India.
Teachers' Day
Teachers' Day
The students celebrate Teacher's Day with great enthusiasm every year on September 5. Cultural functions commemorate the birth of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.
Annual Sports
Annual Sports
During the winter season the college holds its annual sports. Students, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff participate with great enthusiasm. Some events include Breaking the Pyramid, Basketball, Passing the Ball, ring Toss and Go As you Like, Relay etc. The Chief Guest distributes the prizes at the conclusion of the sports.

Annual Debate
In November, the Founder Secretary and Founder Principal Memorial Debate Competition is held. Student-speakers enjoy arguing for and against the chosen topic and the best speakers are awarded medals and certificates.
Talent Search Competition
Talent Search Competition
During the first week of December the students actively participate in an Intra-college talent search competition. Students compete in categories of music (Rabindra sangeet, Nazrulgeeti); dance (classical, self-composed); creative writing (poems and short stories in Bengali, English and Sanskrit); art and craft (painting, sketching and making beautiful and useful articles from the discarded materials).
College Reunion
College Reunion
The annual college reunion is celebrated on the first Saturday of December. The Alumnae Association organized various programs. Old and present students participate in cultural programs and lottery games. The reunion is eagerly looked forward to by both teachers and students.
Christmas Function
Christmas Function
Every year in December, just before the college closes for the Christmas holidays, students and teachers put up a play for the Christmas function. These plays, involving music and dance, celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Light refreshments including a piece of Christmas cake is served to all the students.
Annual College Excursion
Annual College Excursion
Women's Christian College students, teaching and non---teaching staff go on an annual picnic during winter. This year the picnic was at Narayanpur in Budge Budge. This excursion is very well-organized and very enthusiastically participated by all.
International Women's Day
International Women's Day
Falling on March 8th every year the day assumes greater significance in this all girls college. Seminars, symposia, quizzes, film shows, workshops and cultural programs abound by NGOs, Women's Study Cell and Vikasini.
Sanskrit Bhasha Divas
Sanskrit Bhasha Divas
On March 20th the Sanskrit Day is observed by the college on the initiative of the Sanskrit Department. This day is dedicated to remembering and celebrating the glory and grandeur of Sanskrit (the language of the gods) and of literary masterpieces like the Vedas and Upanishads.
World Book Day
World Book Day
Celebrated on April 23rd every year, the Department of English celebrates World Book Day to commemorate the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare. This year a screening of the film version of Shakespeare's play ‘Twelfth Night' was organized.
Youth Parliament
Youth Parliament
Students represented Women's Christian College at a State level youth Parliament competition organized by the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, the Government of West Bengal. In 2005, Women's Christian College was awarded the champion's Cup at the state level and first prize at the zonal level.
World Environment Day
World Environment Day
On 5th June World Environment Day is celebrated with audio-visual presentations to familiarize students with certain fundamental environmental concepts. As an outreach activity, women and children from the backward sections of society of the adjoining areas were included in the celebrations.
